Leading up to the premier of season 2 of Narcos, Netflix partnered with Alma DDB for a social campaign. Among the elements, you may have caught the ultimate teaser: an 11-minute episode leak on Facebook Live that both fans and Ad Age were digging. When tweeters pointed out that watching Narcos is pretty much like getting free Spanish lessons, it inspired an extension that featured Pablo Escobar as the tutor. Characters from the show gave a brief module, teaching fans the phrases you don’t exactly learn in grammar school. For the hardcore historians, there was also Narcopedia, which gives the real history behind the details in the show. If you haven’t caught up yet, the season is out now and promises lots of action. Spoiler alert: Pablo dies.
