For Mother’s Day, DDB Chicago hosted Bring Your Mom to Work Day, giving moms the thing they’ve always wanted: more access to every aspect of our lives.
Hosted by the DDB Chicago LaunchPad Interns, moms from all departments were invited to the agency for an afternoon of brunch, mimosas and a chance at the big leagues.
After they indulged in pastries and clinked their champagne glasses, DDB Chicago didn’t just invite moms to see what their kids do all day, they turned them into co-workers.
A decent tattoo, and a provocative accessory or two helped them look the part. Once they were able to blend in they gave them a scooter tour of the agency, challenged them at ping-pong and let them ponder their new careers on midcentury couches.
DDB Chicago then presented moms with the final test, seeing if they could put their newly gained knowledge into effect and make it in advertising.
In the end, they not only gave moms a glimpse into their lives and careers, they showed them how they owe it all to them.
