The New Jewish Home has named Keith Reinhard, Chairman Emeritus of DDB Worldwide, one of their 2016 “8 Over 80” honorees. The awards show will take place tonight, on Monday, April 11 at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City. In hosting this award every year, The New Jewish Home celebrates a diverse range of accomplishments and aims to illuminate what it means to “age like a New Yorker.”
The 8 Over 80 distinction celebrates “8 remarkable lives,” and aims to highlight what the honorees are “doing, not just what they’ve done.” Along with Mr. Reinhard, other nominees include, among others: singer, actor and activist Harry Belafonte; actress Chita Rivera, columnist Liz Smith; classical dancer Jaques D’Amboise; and the voice of Sesame Street’s Big Bird and Grover, Caroll Spinney.
“I’m truly honored by this recognition even though I can’t believe I’ve become old enough to deserve it,” said Mr. Reinhard.
