DDB Dominates Effies: Agency Wins 12 and Is Finalist for Grand Effie





New York, June 10, 2009 – DDB took home 12 Effie awards last night at the gala at Cipriani’s 42nd Street in New York City, a whopping four more trophies than any other agency. Additionally, DDB’s “Unsnobby Coffee” campaign for McDonald’s was one of the six finalists for the Grand Effie, the culminating honor of the evening. Impressively, every one of DDB’s six U.S. offices were award winners – the first time for DDB that an all-location sweep has occurred. The final DDB tally for the night for DDB was three golds, six silvers and three bronzes.

DDB Hong Kong expands Vitasoy business





Hong Kong, June 10, 2009 – DDB in Hong Kong has announced the expansion of its business with Vitasoy International Holdings, having recently been asked to manage both the Vitasoy and Vita Sansui brands. DDB now handles six accounts within the Vitasoy Company, including Vita Water, Vita Juice, Vita Chrysanthemum Tea and Tsing Sum Tsan.

H&R Block Names DDB US Its Marketing Agency of Record



Kansas City/Chicago, June 19, 2009 – H&R Block announced today that it has selected DDB US as its agency partner for advertising and marketing, effective immediately. DDB will help reposition the H&R Block brand nationally and demonstrate the company’s tax expertise through marketing communications.

Philips and Tribal DDB Win Grand Prix in Film at Cannes



Cannes, France, June 29, 2009—The International Advertising Festival at Cannes announced that the top prize, the 2009 Film Grand Prix, was awarded to leading digital agency Tribal DDB Worldwide for “Carousel,” created for the debut of Philips’ Cinema 21:9 television.

DDB scoops D&AD double yellow for Wallace and Gromit



London, June 12, 2009 – DDB proved that there was still hot creative talent in the UK on Thursday night, at the 2009 D&AD Awards, winning two yellow pencils for the “Wallace and Gromit” campaign for Harvey Nichols.
