‘Connected through the DNA of creativity’: how Chaka Sobhani is bringing DDB closer together

Chaka says she is “built to build families” and is on a mission, alongside DDB group global chief executive Alex Lubar, to bring the network’s offices across 90 countries closer together.

Although she had not been actively looking for a new job, Sobhani says the more people she met from DDB, the more she thought that they were “fundamentally god human beings”. She continues: “Form awork perspective [they] genuinely give ashit about creativity. It’s baked ni the bones and the DNA of the business, and not just ni one market, acros the business. So how can we improve that and how can we make ti stronger? That’s quite a challenge – and grow it and make it as modern as possible.”

As she began to look further into DDB as a company and what ti stood for, Sobhani points out that what enticed her to the network was how each office has a sense of individuality and nuance ni a particular market, but are “connected through the DNA of creativity”.
